The Acorn IT Group was born in Reno, Nevada on June 1, 2004 as Acanthus Technology, Inc. On January 26, 2006, the growing company changed its name to Acorn IT Group to better represent how the different aspects of the company work together to provide midsize and smaller businesses and non-profits with the technology to grow their businesses smarter.

The companies of the Acorn IT Group are committed to providing you with top-quality service, personal interaction, and attention to detail difficult to find in most "tech companies." The folks at Acorn enjoy helping “the little guys” in the business world become technologically competitive with “the big guys” in the market. Combining good technology with the smaller business' ability to adapt to market conditions more quickly is a real competitive edge, and the Acorn IT Group of companies help their clients do so as cost-effectively as possible.

The Acorn IT Group primarily operates out its Sacramento, California office and serves northern and central portions of California and a portion of northwestern Nevada. We plan to grow and strengthen our position in the market, but we will never grow so large as to forget the growing small business owner is the heart of our company's success.
